And what kind of person were you before becoming Muslim?

I'm at a spot in my life where I think prayer may be healthy, but don't believe in anything. Out of any religion, I believe Islam is the friendliest and most accepting, so I'm sure someone had to be like me before converting, and I would really like to hear your story, I stumble on the subreddit from time to time, and see Islam brought up frequently, but when I see Muslim interactions on this sub or elsewhere, it's always so positive.

With Christianity, there is so much wrong with priests who abuse children, and essentially the modern right wing, I feel like Christianity has been taken by politicians and anyone looking for a selfish gain. And American media seems to have it out for Islam.

How did finding religion help you?

And what if I want something to believe in, but don't believe?
