I am a teenager and I never get any Eid presents form my parents or anyone else. It may seem spoiled or entitled to complain about something like this... But it is difficult when you are living in the US, and do not celebrate any other holidays. My birthday is tomorrow, I am turning 16, and I am not looking forward to it at all because I never get presents for that either. And of course no Christmas presents either, which I don't mind much. But when I see all of my friends and classmates getting such nice presents for both Christmas and for their birthdays, while we only have 2 holidays and get zero presents for both, I feel so left out, and like I am missing out on something. I know that so many Muslims get Eid gifts as well, whether it is an actual gift or just some money. The only time I ever remember getting an Eid gift was 5 years ago, when my parents gave me and my sister $20. I just feel so left out... Does this happen to anyone else?
