As some of may know the state of Israel in part justifies itself being a Jewish nation based on the bible.
It is some time since I read the Quranr, but I remember there being a similar account in the chapter with Muhammed's night journey where God recounts his salvation of the Jewish people from the Egyptians. Also somewhere else I cannot remember right now.
Am I mistaken in my recollection, does the God through the Quran specify a land for the Jews?
Is there a hadith about the land God gave to the children of Israel?
Also how are the idea of a God giving land to the Jews interpreted within mainstream Islam?
