Asalamu alaikum,
So, something weird just happened last night. For some backstory, before my husband and I got married, I used to have a (short-lived, re: less than 1 month) crush on one of his friends. That was almost 3 years ago, though, and we’ve been together for 2 1/2 years now, married for 1 year of those. (I know; haram relationships and all. I was not a Muslim at first.) But my husband used to be really insecure over this crush I had. He used to think I would cheat on him with this friend of his. (I never would.)
Last night, my husband cleared all the apps in his phone like he usually does. This morning, he found that his messenger app was open to the chat of the friend I used to have a crush on. (This is on my husband’s phone, to clarify.) There were no messages sent or anything.
Now, I would never open that chat—I don’t think about this guy EVER; it was a stupid crush that I had before I was with my husband and I’ve completely forgotten about it at this point—and my husband doesn’t talk to him much anymore, either.
So how did this app open?
Now my husband is thinking I’m lying and that I opened it, but I swear (WALLAHI) that I did not. Both phones are kept on my side of the bed, which is why he’s certain he didn’t do it. But I don’t even know where the messenger app is on his phone 😪
I remember reading about jinn causing problems between husband and wife, but I don’t know if that’s legit. I wasn’t raised Muslim, and I’ve been Muslim for only about 1 1/2 years ish. Maybe you guys know more than I do!
Is it possible for a jinn to want to make us fight? Any experience with jinn doing things that would otherwise be unexplainable? (I used to have “ghost” experiences before, but never anything like this.)
We were also discussing scary jinn stories with a work colleague/friend of my husband that night.
Any help would be appreciated 😪
JazakAllah
