Hi everyone I've been trying to find an answer online as to why 'fajr' is an hour before dawn in Australia.

Fajr is 5:30AM. Dawn is 6:37AM. Sunrise is 7:05AM.

What is the difference and why is Fajr 5:30 when it is often translated to dawn in English?
