So recently, Allah (swt) has blessed me with my first job alhamdulillah and with that means I have more money. I obviously have to spend my money for my needs but what about my wants? I've recently been buying things that are within the bounds of Islam. But I feel that it's a bit excessive. When does a 'want' become excessive though? I feel that I am becoming too materialistic. Is the reason why I feel this way because I've never really had money before and I'm finally spending it on stuff I've wanted? Or is it really because I am spending too much money on my 'wants'?
Please let me know on your opinions on this, as it has been stressing me out for some time recently. Feel free to reply with Islamic evidence to your comments if applicable.
