Sahih Buhari: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," (On the Day of Resurrection) any one whose account will be taken will be ruined (i.e. go to Hell)." I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! May Allah make me be sacrificed for you. Doesn't Allah say: "Then as for him who will be given his record in his right hand, he surely will receive an easy reckoning.?" (84.7-8) He replied, "That is only the presentation of the accounts; but he whose record is questioned, will be ruined."
Checking the hadith against Quran:
"We will question those to whom We have sent, and We will question the messengers." (7:6) No one is exempt from being questioned on the Day of Judgement.
"And We place the balances of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so that no soul will be wronged in the least. Even if it was the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And We are enough as a Reckoner." (21:47) God judges everyone fairly, because he is just (al-Adl).
"And the balance on that Day will be the truth. So, those whose weights are heavy on the balance, those are the successful ones. And whoever has light weights, then these are the ones who lost their souls for what they transgressed of Our revelations." (7:8-9) Judgement is according to the deeds one does during his lifetime.
"So whoever is given his record in his right. He will then receive an easy reckoning." (84:7-8) Even those who are given their record on their right, will receive a reckoning, albeit an easy one.
As one can see from these Quran verses, there is no distinction between presenting accounts and questioning accounts. It's really hard to imagine the Messenger of God saying these words, because it implies the existence of people, whose accounts will not be questioned. This is in stark contrast to Quran 7:6 (see above), where it's clearly stated even the Messengers of God will be questioned. This fact fits to other verses where the Messenger of God is said to be just a human and where God even calls him to repent.
