Some novels I have in mind are Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin (more popularly known by the television series Game of Thrones) are a collection of novels that "promote" (more appropriately just include) acts of heavy drinking, killing, fornication, sodomy, drugs, etc., that are all haram. Would reading these novels also be haram by the same logic used to make music that include the same material haram?
