I know. These stories and videos are relevant in that they concern muslims and all. But still, most of the days the sub is like 90% news stories with a few dua posts and a hadith/ayah mixed in. I personally browse this sub hoping to learn more interesting things about my religion, and although having a political awareness is important, that's not really my priority. I want to see more islamic text discussions and more hadiths or athar or just general lessons in theology, so this sub can really be a religion sub. I want to explore some concepts in islam in depth, read about stories from the time of the prophet and Sahaba, like that. Also obviously since most of us read books or articles we can post here to share whatever interesting or less known thing we've learned or come across.
And yes I know we can filter posts but I think someone (hiya mods) should decide what this sub is supposed to be about, because a lot of it is getting seriously off topic, with only a few informative posts.
What are your thoughts?
