Assalamu alaikum!

I'm a high school student from Norway, and I have a school assignment where I'm supposed to learn about a religion by talking to someone who practices it.

I chose Islam because I want to understand it better, especially what it means to Muslims personally and how it affects their everyday lives.

I would really appreciate it if some of you could answer a few questions in the comments! I'm not here to debate or judge anyone's beliefs. I'm genuinely very interested in hearing your personal experiences and perspectives.

My questions:

  1. What does Islam mean to you personally? How important is your faith in your life?
  2. How does being Muslim affect your everyday life? For example, your routines, decisions, relationships, or the way you treat others.
  3. What are the most important values Islam has taught you?
  4. Are there any Islamic practices or traditions that are especially meaningful to you? For example, salah (prayer), Ramadan, or attending the mosque. Why are they important to you?
  5. What are some common misconceptions people have about Islam or Muslims? What do you wish more non-Muslims understood?
  6. Have you ever struggled with your faith or had doubts? If you're comfortable sharing, how did you deal with them?
  7. How does being part of the Muslim community affect your life? Do you feel a strong sense of belonging?
  8. Has your understanding of Islam changed as you've grown older? If so, how?
  9. What would you say to someone who knows very little about Islam but wants to understand it better?

You don't have to answer every question! Even answering just a few would help me a lot.

If you're comfortable, I'd also appreciate knowing which country you're from, you name and whether you're involved in a mosque or Islamic organization. No personal information is needed.

Thank you so much for your time and help!
