I did umrah recently but I’m not sure if my hair was cut correctly

on October 31, 2023 Islam, islamic information, islamic stories,

My mum cut my hair for me but she cut a small chunk of my hair from the top down to the scalp

I kinda wanted to just shorten my hair instead but she said it was permissible to do what she did

I was wondering if that was permissible, and if not, can I still shorten my hair now?
