I feel like every day, there is a new development in a Muslim country of another witchhunt or natural disaster or xenophobic practice that really makes me want to ask God why he would almost universally punish his faithful servants. French xenophobic practices discriminating against Muslim students, the earthquake that killed tens of thousands of people in Turkiye last March, the other earthquake that has reportedly over 200 deaths in Morocco just two days ago, the witchhunting of Muslims in India, the genocide of Muslims in Myanmar, the concentrated containment of Uyghur Muslims in China, the Holocaust-like persecution and treatment of the Palestinians, the Syrian War, the aftereffects of the Yemen and Iraqi War, the living conditions of those in Africa and Pakistan, etc... All "recent" events. It's hard to watch Muslim brethren from all over the world be almost systematically targeted for every single possible disaster that could happen. It's almost paradoxical but it's hard to not believe in a God when Muslims are THIS oppressed, with almost pinpoint accuracy.

And I know that there are Muslim countries that are thriving, too. Bahrain has been doing well from what I see, and so are countries like Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, etc. (and to a minor extent, I suppose Saudi Arabia as well).

But it's just so odd that Muslim populations have to live in abhorrent conditions while non-Islamic, more "sinful" countries like the United States or the general West or China have grown in power and success, and sin becomes more rampant and accepted as a result.

I'm not denying the insightfulness of God (astaghfirullah) or the plan of the one who is the best of planners,

and I am not blind to the fact that the Muslims who suffer here will be accommodated for in the hereafter and the ones in sinful power here will be held accountable for their actions later,

but,

it's just hard to watch and remain faithful, y'know?
