Do you strictly eat halal meat?

I have a Muslim friend who seems to only eat halal meat and while I am not Muslim, I do eat halal.

We hang out quite often and they like bringing me to halal restaurants. Now, I do not mind cuz I like the cuisine but I also want them to try my restaurant suggestions. However, I don’t know a lot of restaurants that serve halal food so I can’t really bring my friend. Also, it seems like restaurants that serve halal tend to be of similar cuisines, but I want to diversify our food options.

I’m just wondering if you’re strict about eating halal meat and if you only go to halal restaurants when hanging out with non-Muslim friends.
