Q1) Is it permissible in Islam for someone to choose to cut themselves off from society (and live as a recluse in a van, forest, cave, island, etc) bearing in mind that Muslim men are supposed to pray at the Masjid on Fridays?
Q2) If someone is homeless and friendless (and not through choice) how do they keep themselves and their clothes clean enough to perform salah (let alone attend the Masjid), know when it is time to start and end fasting, know when to pray (besides having a rough guess from the level of sunlight) and fulfill their other Islamic duties?
Q3) Are the any other factors to consider surrounding this all-too-real topic?
