Regarding the Titanic submersible incident, I knew it was only a matter of time before our community starts spreading a "we told you so" message like wildfire around whatsapp, facebook, and tiktok.
People are widely circulating this hadith , which has a very specific context, to relate to this Titanic incident with the claim that if you try to visit ruins of dead people, the same thing that killed them would happen to you.
Nearly 250 people have visited the Titanic wreckage successfully. The famous movie director James Cameron has visited the site 33 times. We can't just wait for a tragedy to occur for an "aha!" moment. This is an example of confirmation bias. This is not only harmful, but it also hurts our credibility.
Some things are just meant to happen. People die, people survive miraculously, and the world keeps turning. This was a case of bad quality control and failure testing. Please refrain from drawing prophecies out of everything.
