Jewellery For Men In Islam

Hey everyone,

I came back to Islam and I am looking for guidance, I'm pretty sure this doesn't break any of the community rules and I don't want to sin and want to make sure I get things right.

I've tried researching online but information is so vague and I don't understand it so I'm hoping someone can help me.

Is jewellery for men haram ?

You see I wear a lot of jewellery, I think it is a nice accessory. I know gold for men is haram because it is feminine right ?

What about other things. I have a black leather watch and it has silver outlines, I'm not sure if the silver is real silver or just the colour silver but is that okay ?

Along with that I wear bracelets. I have a silver chain like bracelet and a matching sliver chain. It is not feminine so is that okay or no ? I also have 2 rings on my right hand. They are simply black and a metal. I also have a leather bracelet on my other hand.

I don't want to sin and I am trying to seek guidance so you may see a couple of posts from me and at the moment I just want to know if my jewellery is okay or if I have to stop ? Nothing I wear is feminine or gold.

The formula is supposed to have "high color payoff" with "all-day wear" that "easily glides on" and is "waterproof." The majority of the range was quite pigmented in a single stroke and easily built up to full coverage. The texture was smooth, creamy without being emollient, and quick to set into place.

They had more average wear than I expected; most of the shades lasted only a few hours on my water line and about eight hours on my lower lash line (which is a solid formula for my experience but not stellar wear). If I ran swatches under water, they didn't smudge or run, so I was surprised they weren't longer-wearing in practice on my eyes.

The formula is supposed to have "soft, buildable color" with a "dewy, luminous finish" that has a "lightweight, non-sticky feel." The consistency was lightweight, lightly creamy--balmy with good spreadability and not overly emollient; definitely not sticky either. The pigmentation was sheer to semi-sheer, somewhat buildable, but if you're looking for a more medium to semi-opaque level of pigmentation, these might leave you wanting.

All of the shades I tested applied evenly on both bare skin as well as on top of foundation, as they were not prone to lifting base products. They never dried down and had a moderately dewy sheen that still had decent longevity. Most shades lasted around seven hours on me before fading, but they didn't seem to visibly slide around over time.

Being forced to wear bracelets

I'm a 21 year old guy and still living with my parents. I work with my father and get paid weekly. Recently my mother was trying to force me to wear a silver bracelet so I look good and like other guys, and if I don't wear it, she will take my weekly wage from my father. This is literally unfair. It's absolutely haram for men to wear something that's for women only, and she doesn't even care, she just wants me to do something I'm never agreeing to.

What should I do in this case?

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to work on "body, face, cheek, eye, and lips" with "bold and vibrant color" that is long-wearing and goes on evenly and flawlessly. If you're looking to use this formula on the eyes as eyeliner or eyeshadow, you'll probably be quite happy with the end results and longevity. If you're hoping to use these on the lips, then I think they're a lot less impressive as they tended to look unflattering by emphasizing lip texture/imperfections and were clingy to wear.

The texture was smooth, fluid, and thin without being too runny, which made it easy to apply from the tube and then to use a fluffy, synthetic brush to diffuse and blend out. I also was able to use my fingertip in most instances, though I had to take care to work pretty quickly as the formula dried down fast and once set, it did not move well.

The shimmery shades were more medium coverage, sometimes buildable but typically more likely to sheer out in practice and require layering to be more pigmented. They had a lot of fine sparkle that caught the light well, so I could see them working well as an all-over lid color. As cheek product, these could be used more as a highlighter than a genuine blush, but you'll need to work as fast as possible to diffuse the edges and sheer out evenly. As a lip product, it was somewhat uncomfortable to wear, felt clingy, and had a tendency to produce a lot of sparkly migration over the three to four hours it lasted for.

The matte shades had higher coverage, often opaque, that applied well to the eyes and poorly to the lips. Some shades worked better on cheeks than others, but they had to be applied and blended out very, very quickly as the working time about 10 seconds at best. The issue I had with the formula on my lips was they often settled into my lip lines during dry down and/or clung to texture or other imperfections, so it looked rougher, somewhat uneven, and/or "cracked" when I smiled.

The formula dried down fairly quickly and was long-wearing once set. As a lip product, they lasted three to six hours but were drying over time and were often unflattering with respect to finish/texture and shimmery shades had migration over time. As an eye product, they lasted nine hours without creasing or fallout. As a cheek product, they lasted around nine hours before fading a bit.
