I'm a girl, 22, I'm the oldest in my siblings and as a first child that parents experiment on I used to get hit and beaten for any wrongdoing, they still hit me until this day but way less. I can't tolerate this domestic violence anymore and I don't have anyone to go to, no authorities no relatives can/will help.
Is it haram for me to hit back in self defense? Knowing talking doesn't work and I'm not capable of physically restraining them especially when it's my father.
