Adapted repost from r/Judaism

Salam! I am a woman born into an interfaith family of a Jewish father and a Christian convert mother. This, from the POV of Judaism, makes me not Jewish. I grew up celebrating major holidays of both religions and eventually leaned a lot towards Judaism. Since starting uni, I eventually got my practice to keeping kosher (that one was so easy), starting being shomer negiah (not touching men), dressing tznius (equivalent to haha), saying the berachot (blessings), observing the holidays, praying semi-regularly and attending Shabbat services. I spent years dedicating myself to Judaism, but .. I'm finding a lot of appeal in Islam. I find your opinions on modesty and family laws beautiful, I see a lot of reason in your practice and I see how happy it makes my loved ones. None of them are trying to convert me, we all respect each others' religions and adjust our behaviour accordingly when we overstep. I wish I had a rabbi (similar to a sheikh) to ask this, but I recently relocated and haven't built a relationship with my local rabbi yet. Do I rebuild my relationship with Judaism? Or should I, at all, since I'm not even considered Jewish despite being raised in the faith and observing the mitzvot (commandments) for years?
