Dear community,
I have the joy to announce that on june 1st I decided that Islam was the way for me.
Last week, I decided to declare it and I feel great about it Al hamdollelah.
Long story short: I was born muslim, but my parents converted to christianity (orthodox..which is close to islam in practice) when I was a kid. PS: My whole extended family is still muslim. I decided to tell my brother because I knew he would understand and he is in a place where he is trying to find his religious path and I thought it was important for him. As for the rest, I don't see the necessity to tell them. It is not by fear of losing them, but more because it will hurt them.
Any clues on how to deal with this? I don't see an issue for me as long as I respect my faith and not lie about it if I am being asked. What do you think?
