Hi I just have a question about a situation that happened last night.

I feel like I am quite well educated on Islam, and things I, as a non Muslim male, should or shouldn't do for/with a Muslim female, for example. However last night, my work went out for a charity ball. I don't drink, and neither, obviously, does she, so as everyone got drunk as the night went on, we were the only two sober. She kept mentioning how she wanted a coffee, so I asked her 'do you want me to get one for you?' but she said no, which is obviously no problem, but then said 'I'll ask (female coworker) to get it for me'. Had she not of said that, I probably would've just gone and bought it anyway, but I thought maybe this is a situation where she wasn't trying to be polite, maybe theres another reason, hence why I'm asking.

But it has also left me confused because I would consider her one of my closer friends, and she has bought me coffee before, and we have been out together, so naturally I want to repay this but if i was to do so, would it be against her belief? or am I just overthinking it.
