1) Abu Dharr reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said : There is no believing servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence) that the Angels do not say: The same be for you too. (Sahih Muslim, 2732a - Book 35, Hadith 6588)

2) Umm Darda' reported : My husband reported that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), the Angel commissioned (for carrying supplication to his Lord) says: Amen, and it is for you also. (Sahih Muslim, 2732b - Book 48, Hadith 120)

3) It was narrated from Safwan bin ‘Abdullah bin Safwan said that he was married to a daughter of Abu Darda’. He came to her and found Umm Darda’ there, but he did not find Abu Darda’. She said to him : “Do you intend to perform Hajj this year?” He said: “Yes.” She said: “Pray to Allah for us to grant us goodness, for the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: ‘The supplication of a man for his brother in his absence will be answered. By his head there is an angel who says Amin to his supplication, and every time he prays for his brother, he says: “Amin, and the same for you.’” He said: “Then I went out to the marketplace where I met Abu Darda’, and he told me something similar from the Prophet (ﷺ).” (Sunan Ibn Majah, 2895 - Book 25, Hadith 14)

That’s why some Imam (like Ibn Hanbal) prefer the Dua make to a brother/sisters (in the religion) because if this Dua is accepted it will benefit you and your brother/sister.

So those who want : I have a really big personal problem in my IRL life and if you can make a Dua that Allah gave me a good ending to it. [I stay general -> Then you will Insha Allah have a general help from Allah also].

Jazakum Allah kheir.
