For example this verse from surah baqarah:

“Falyastajeeboo lee wal yu'minoo bee la'allahum yarshudoon” (English transliteration)

“So let them respond to me, and believe in me, that they may be guided.” (English translation)

Very straight forward verse, very straightforward translation, and the meaning is very clear. But on most translation sites you’ll see it written as:

“So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.”

Or even:

“So let them respond to My call (without hesitation), and believe and trust in Me (in the way required of them), so that they may be guided to spiritual and intellectual excellence and right conduct.”

All the stuff in parenthesis just convolutes the verse and makes it slightly harder to follow. Why do translators add little details like that when those words aren’t in the original? Isn’t editing Allahs word forbidden?
