Salaam. Megathread for those of us who were planning on going for hajj. There are so many rumors and conflicting reports.

I received an email from my hajj group saying they are in contact with Saudi and no one knows what the new visa system means. They have suspended payments until they can give us clarity. They said one possible scenario is that the groups can also enter the lottery and then distribute the visas they receive to individuals. My friend, going with another group, was told to enter the lottery as all hajj groups from the US have been told they are superfluous now. Their flights have already been cancelled by the agency.
Please post with any information you have as there is zero clarity coming from Saudi and many hajj groups are being secretive with what exactly they've been told.
