Hi non-Muslim here, I was just curious about what the Islamic stance on AI is. I understand that depiction/art of living things is considered to be haram due to mimicking the power of god, would AI be considered in the same way if not worse since its attempting to recreate the mind without a soul? Would work on an advanced, learning chat bot for instance be considered a sin? I understand true AI is still the realm of Sci-fi but would even the attempt of it be considered blasphemy? I'd be interested to know where the line is drawn on this.
