As a non Muslim, sometimes you can be fed misleading information about islam. Someone also asked why would Jesus come down to kill non Muslim. The name esa(jesus) is the most mentioned in the Quran. We as muslims love him dearly as our beloved prophet. He will be sent to crucify the antichrist. Not to crucify non muslims. Each prophet was sent to guide its ummah(people of its times). Prophet Muhammad was held to higher standards due to revealing the last messages from Allah(the quran). Essa(jesus) is important yes, but his ummah twisted his message and so he would come down one day to prove that he’s not God, and never said he was. He actually told his people that a prophet would come along to guide them(Prophet Muhammad). Prophets are important in islam. No prophet was crucified. In islam jesus will come down and kill the antichrist.

People make it out to seem that we favor prophet Muhammad over other prophets due to religion. No every prophet that came along believed in monotheism. Every prophet that came along was muslim.

This is how it looks to me: i believe that each prophet came during times of change. Notice how when satan started guiding people astray, Allah sends down someone to guide them. He sent what they were capable of handling at the time. If he sent Prophet Muhammad first then people wouldn’t have believed because humans learn and change from trials and tribulations.

“Here is a list of a few Islamic commentators and what they say a messiah is in Q. 3:45.

Ibn Abbas “because he travels from one country to another”… “the Messiah means the king.”

Al-Tabari "one who is cleansed, that is God cleansed him from all sins." - I know Christians believe he died for all our sins, however we muslims do not due to the fact that everyone is accountable for what they do(free will). God will never put everyones burden on one individual.

Ibn-Kathir—“one who travels from place to place without having any fixed place of residence, and who journeys continuously,”…”one who is flat footed.” …”whenever he passed his hands over anyone with an infirmity he was healed by God’s permission.”

Al-Razi—he lists about 10 possibilities, including being anointed, and being covered by the wings of the angel Gabriel at birth to protect him from Satan, as well as actively walking about, touching orphan children and healing others.”

This describes essa(jesus) in its purest form 🤲🏿. Remember interpretations are different. Watch out for contradictions. The quran is the same from since it was revealed. What muslims believe a messiah is is different from what christians believe
