I was leaving a hardware store parking lot and these guys pulled up to me and asked if I want to buy something from them. I say no and the guy insists so I take a look.
Apparently he said he had “27 minutes to sell or his boss would own it because they deliver and they have a few extra so they want some profit”
It was equipment worth over 5k dollars, at least on the box, and they wanted 1k for it. It was a projector and screen. Who knows what was inside it. I told them to donate it to a local charity. They said they “tried but charities don’t accept stuff that is new.” Clearly were trained.
He said “let me ask you something from the heart what can you pay for this.” I said sure as long as I can ask the same after.
After he realized I didn’t want his product he immediately started running inside his car. Not even a bye or Sorry I’ll pass or look me in the eyes. I simply asked him what faith he was and he said Catholic. I then told him we live for 80 years and are dead for millions so we should establish truth on logic and reason. At this point he just said I’ll worry about that when I’m dead and just slammed the door. Complete scumbag. This is the necessary consequence of believing someone died for all your sins sorry to say. Because by necessity all would include well everything. So why even bother about good or bad aside from natural inclination? Just live like a pig, do what you want and face no consequences. How people believe this nonsense bothers me. I was going to offer this guy my number so that we can discuss the truth of the hereafter and he didn’t even see me as a human being anymore for the next 20 seconds. Just pretended I wasn’t even there. All because I was calling towards Allah or trying to.
Stuff like this pisses me off and makes me not want to do dawah or be religious. Scumbags like these have no shame and think and do get away with these things. People like these make me realize that hell is totally justifiable. He was too scared to even have a conversation. Just remind me when we are raised again if he dies in disbelief that I tried and this is how this scumbag behaved.
