I've been an atheist all my life growing in a Christian community.
Having muslim friends, I've had interest in Islam for a few years. I'm a white woman and feel Islam has many positive values and supports women, but I also feel that culturally the haram police makes it hard to embrace the religion. I see a lot of hate towards women not following all the rules of modesty, often from men who drink, party and commit zina.
Muslim women and reverts, how do you feel the Muslim community has treated you? Do you have any tips for someone considering reverting?
