"...And let's say that they bring you a hill of evidence this big, a mountain of evidence, and then Allah says something, which one are you gonna believe? This is epistemological disqualification right there. Doesn't really make a difference to me what anyone says, once we have already established our epistemology(philosophy of knowledge) as muslims, which is; Al-Wahy(revelation), and the correct understanding of Al-Wahy, then Al-Aql(logic), then Al-Hiss(empirical data), then Al-Urf(customs of the society). So once Al-Wahy has plugged something, that on this issue, the ruling is X, then when I look down the epistemological chain, if someone is bringing me something else, it doesn't make a difference what you say. Wahy has already made a statement on this, if the supreme court makes a statement on a matter, and then some lower court comes and issues a statement, the statement of the lower court, even if a thousand lower courts make statement, it doesn't matter... I don't care what you bring me, if it is certain, and we have certainty and there is jumhur(majority opinion) , I'm not even gonna say ijma(consensus) because these meshayiq are so touchy about ijma, forget ijma, jumhur opinion of the ulema of aqeedah, and tafsir and hadith, that a certain matter ruling is xyz that now we can make this a part of our deen, wajib to believe, it doesn't matter, what anyone else brings. I'm just shutting the door right now because what's the point? Let those specialists in history deconstruct these theories. And we know that historians and scientists! It's not objective, they're still human beings with agendas. The idea that science and history can be totally objective, is one of the biggest myths out there, because the scientist is coming with his preconceived notions, the historian is coming with things that bother him, and so constantly these historians and scientists coming from the West, they are coming with an anti-Christian background, if they are coming like that, oftentimes that is what is pushing their research. So to think that they are all just objective history doesn't exist."
Shadee Elmasry Al-Maliki.
This was one of the biggest points in my life as a muslim that destroyed tons of shubuhat in my heart in just one go, and I wanted to share it with you as well.
