Recently I've got a bunch of messages on Instagram asking about Islam in... less than a politely curious way. They send me (inauthentic) Hadiths and mock the content, they ask about the Kaaba and imply that they find the whole concept of praying facing east hilarious and call it a Pagan practice, they ask increasingly insulting questions and laugh while asking them. I have been engaging in dialogue, and while I appreciate that doing so has made me learn more about my faith and share that knowledge with others, I feel tired and overwhelmed and like I'm constantly defending myself and my community. Does this sound like the right way of going about things? Should I just direct them towards someone more knowledgeable, or block them outright?
