Assalamualaikum,
There is something I have been struggling with recently and was hoping I could get some advice. In my life, I try to be a nice person and help people out as much as I can. If anyone asks me for help, I try to give it to them if it is within my capacity. However, I sometimes feel like I am being taken advantage of and also perceived as “soft”. I want to be nice to people and help people because that is so deeply engrained in our religion, but at the same time I don’t want people to take advantage of me or think less of me when I do so.
