You would see a lot of Islam critics mention that the Earth is "flat" according to the Qur'an, and you possibly may have seen a refutation of such statements. I will go a step-forward and tell you that the Qur'an refers to the Earth as a sphere, in a specific verse in Chapter 39 - The Troops, in verse 5. Here is the verse in its original format:

The translation: "He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. "- Chapter 39 - The Troops, [Saheeh International].

You are probably wondering, where is the shape of the earth mentioned? Well, unfortunately, the word used in Arabic cannot be translated as it is used specifically when referring to round objects, the word in English "wraps" is used as a close equivalent. But I will point out the specific word. The word " یُکَوِّرُ" comes from the noun " كُرَة" which means a ball. Now "یُکَوِّرُ" is the action of wrapping a ball specifically, and only a spherical object as the root word is literally the word "ball". This clearly indirectly confirms the Earth's rotundity. Even Ibn Taymiyyah in his book "Al-Arsh", a criticized literalist in Qur'anic studies, regarded the importance of this verse, as this clearly tells us the Earth has a curvature, more specifically that of a ball. This confirms the Prophet's Prophethood as the people in his time believed in a flat earth and unlike other Books the Qur'an clearly tells us the Earth is round.
