The prophet Mohammed said : " There are three hundred and sixty joints in a human being " stated around 1400 years ago in an environment of ignorance and science lacking, at that time arabs used to believe in many non sense beliefs, as an example: " they believed that braying like donkeys prevents the spread of epidemic, and that drinking the blood of kings Heal from dementia, they also believed that if the wounded drink water, he dies, and that drinking hot water takes away the horror from women, and that drinking the blood of nobles heals from rabies, and that the bones of the dead are a cure to madness "

Debunking Chinese claims :

Some people are claiming that this knowledge were achieved before the prophet, using this claim: "Human beings have 360 joints, nine body openings, and five yin and six yang systems of function. In the flesh tightness is desirable; in the blood vessels (hsueh mai) free flow is desirable; in the sinews and bones solidity is desirable; in the operations of the heart and mind harmony is desirable; in the essential ch'i regular motion is desirable. When [these desiderata] are realized, illness has nowhere to abide, and there is nothing from which pathology can develop"

The meaning of 360 JOINTS in ancient Chinese Philosophy:

Wang Bing: “ ‘365 joints’ does not refer to the bone joints; these are the [365] locations where the spirit qi leaves and enters [the body].” (1)

“ Huang Di asked: “I have heard, there are 365 qi holes to correspond to one year. I do not know their locations yet. I should like to hear about them comprehensively.” (2)

“ Cheng Shide et al./139: “Ling shu 01 states: 節之交, 三百六十五會, ‘Where the sections join each other, these are 365 meeting places.’ Also: ‘The so-called joints are the locations where the spirit qi leaves and enters during its travels.’ That is, 節 refers to the transportation points.” (3)

“ Altogether these are 365 holes; it is from [these locations] that the needles are set in motion “ (4)

“ Qi Bo: “The 365 holes of the meeting points of the tertiary network [vessels],41 they, too, cor¬respond to one year “ (5)

We can clearly abstract and conclude that the word “ joints “ mentioned in ancient Chinese philosophy does not refer to joint as a bone joints, a complex structures made up of bone, muscles, synovium, cartilage, and ligaments that are designed to bear weight and move the body but it refers to some sort of unknown holes/locations where the “spirit of Qi” leaves and enters. This conclusion contradicts the whole argument.

There are many different versions in the Daoism and ancient Chinese philosophy books about the “joints” number some are claiming 365 joints (6) the same book that you used as a reference to 360 joints is stating a different number 365 in a different page¬¬ (7), other versions are claiming 366 joints (8), and again other versions are claiming 360 joints (9).

This is a big contradiction that requires clarification, especially when we find more than one version in the same book, or when we find the same book same page giving a different version in other sources (same exact book). The blame goes to the poor translation and errors made while translating to English and French:

“ Heaven has yin and yang; people have man and wife. The year has 365 days; the body has 360 joints (Huang Di neijing ling shu 71.2, 446, cf. Wong Ming 1987, 336–338 (French). THERE IS NO GOOD ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THIS TEXT “ (10)

The irony here is the immense unscientific non sense claims that were widespread all around the globe, ancient Ireland claimed that joints number is 865 joints (11) other versions of the same book claiming to be 365 joints (12), moving to ancient Indians they claimed that humans have 210 joints (13), other versions claiming it to be 200 joints (14), add all those to the Chinese and Korean claims, We end up getting a lot and a lot of claims from ancient nations and philosophies

QUESTION:

. Did everything that the Prophet heard was so easily transmitted in his Quran or Sunnah ?

The answer is NO, in that era Arabs and the nations nearby used to believe in many non-sense thoughts that are defined nowadays to be unscientific, non-correct and even stupid thoughts

So If it was that easy for the Prophet to copy and transmit thoughts to his Quran and sunnah it would have transmitted at least a few of some stupid thoughts which NEVER happened.

In such situation, Under all those circumstances It’s obvious that the Prophet has no possibility to copy. In fact, It would be catastrophic in case he decided to do so (copying or taking thoughts from others).
