Salam, I was born and raised as a Muslim and I practiced but not as much as one would think. Lately I have been reflecting on my journey with Islam and I would like to become a better Muslim. I want to start off by praying, I have an idea of how to pray but with a bit of revision inshAllah I will get there. But I feel like at the age of 26 that this sudden realisation of wanting to be close to Allah has come later than it should have? I also want to start wearing a Hijab, when I was younger I didn’t want to and I’ve always told myself that when I’m ready I will wear it and I believe that the time has come. Is it wrong that I feel embarrassed that me wanting a connection with Allah has come later than usual?
