Something I've been thinking about is how well are the afghan Muslim refugees going to assimilate into American culture especially since their relocation is primarily going to be in my general region of the American southwest and ironically there's a couple mosques near where I live. I'm slightly worried that they're going to have a difficult time getting used to how American society functions especially with the immodesty in how most American women dress since alot of American advertising typically depicts women in trashy garments and the prevalence of music and other entertainment would probably be quite discomforting especially with the hyper prevalence of pork products in American food finding anything halal or remotely kosher would be a sisyphean task.I am wondering how well are the afghan refugees likely to assimilate into American culture?
