I spoke at length with my brother yesterday about teaching Salah to someone new and learned that many parts of the salaat aren’t a requirement when you look into the bare minimum of each of the 4 schools of thought. For example subhanakallahumma wabihamdika etc is one of the ways you can start prayer but there’s other options as well. It’s apparently also not obligatory and you can go right to fatihah. According to the hanafi madhab at least apparently you need to only read subhanarabbialazeem once at minimum and same with subhanarabbiala’la. Anything after the durood is also apparently not compulsory.

He recommended me a book called Bidayat al-Abid: Commencement of the Worshiper.

Do you think this sort of information should be more mainstream so that Muslims who are leaving Islam because they find it tedious can know it’s not as difficult to adhere to as it appears? Sure it’s not ideal but if it’s still permissible that’s still worth considering right?
