i am a teenager and work in fast food. i have an older coworker who is the kindest man ever, we all love him. recently i noticed that he was praying on bin bags, i asked one of my coworkers and they said that his prayer mat was stolen from the staff room! It made me so sad, as he is lovely and it must be hard on his knees.
my question is, i would love to buy him a prayer mat for work. would it be offensive to him if i bought it as a gift? could i give it to him for say, christmas? or is there a more appropriate islamic holiday i could gift it to him on? Do they need to be blessed?
