As Muslims, we are supposed to have protective jealousy (Gheerah) over our spouses. I for the life of me, can't understand why anyone would be okay with their spouses interacting with their friends/other members of their family. I mean, Shaytaan is clever. It starts as a whisper, then a gaze. Even common sense shows that when cheating occurs, it occurs with individuals who are close i.e. friends. This is what Allah SWT wants us to avoid. This is why we have Islamic guidances in place.
I am not trying to attack anyone's opinions/beliefs. I know that we are allowed to interact with the opposite gender but within limits. Isn't the idea of double/triple dates just basically unnecessary free mixing and mingling? Wouldn't it be more appropriate if men did their own thing and women did their own thing (segregated)?

(I have previously posted this on the 'MuslimMarriage' sub where it got deleted due to apparently being a 'repost'. There was a similar post a few days prior where people were encouraging this sort of behaviour and therefore, I was asking why do people think that such notions are okay. Brothers/Sisters, just because we live in the West, doesn't mean we should stop following Islam. Please always remember this).
