I have several questions about madhabs.
I am a convert and I know very little about this topic, I apologise in advance if I'm being disrespectful or for my ignorance on the matter.
Why are there multiple madhabs, wouldn't it be easier if there was only one ?
Why are there 4 ?
Is there a madhab that is ultimately closer to what Allah has commanded us ?
Can any madhab be valid ? Like, could a fifth madhab emerge ?
Are they all right in their views ?
If not, does someone sin if they follow the view of their madhab ?
Why are there significant differences between madhabs ?
Is it obligatory to follow one ?
How do you choose a madhab ?
For anyone who would like to tell me to use Google, I will. But I think that having the viewpoints of different people as well as having a discussion is an important aspect that I cannot have while solely searching on the internet.
