it is insane to think that everyone who climbs the pedestal of this worldly life is actually climbing the pedestal of slaving themselves.

The higher people go climbing the pedestal of this worldly life, the harder for them to break free from the shackles that chained them. People think that if they go to the very top of the pedestal, they will finally achieve the true freedom that they wanted. But is it really the true freedom?

A 9-5 office worker might fantasize what life would look like if he/she were to become the CEO of the place where he's working, or perhaps starting his/her own business so he can become the CEO since day 1. But what he/she does not realize is the very top management who think that they own the business is actually owned by the business itself. Think about that for a moment.

In this case, the top management is the slave while the business is the slave owner. You know right what does it mean by being a slave? It means your life is dictated by the one who owns you.

• If the slave owner told his/her slaves to go and run some errands for him/her, they better do what he/she wants.

• If the slave owner told his/her slaves to go to some places there and there, they better go to those places.

• If the slave owner told his/her slaves to wake up at time this and that, they better wake up at those times.

This is exactly what slavery looks like. We can see this pattern across everything. People who jumped deep into industry, people who jumped deep into academia, people who jumped deep into regulation and public policy. They all share the same pattern again, and again, and again. Moving from one place to another place is simply changing the owner of the slave from one owner to another owner. Which is why this worldly life is restless and exhausting.

And the only way to break away from this endless slavery of this worldly life with peaceful term is to become the slave of the One who is self-sufficient and free of all needs. Only Allah, the One who can gives us the true freedom that we all admire, and that is the eternal paradise where everything in it will be subservient to the inhabitant of it.
