Is it bad to call a fictional character a god even if it’s their title and you only mean it in the story?

Hoping someone knowledgeable on the subject can help me out. So say there are fictional characters who have the name/title of god(s) in their fictional story.

Am I allowed to refer to them as god(s) when discussing them or the story? If I do say it, I know they’re not real god and I wouldn’t say it with the intention that they are anything but fictional gods only.
