Am I right to be angry with people who insult our religion or should I try to communicate with them?

There's so many people who have so many misconceptions about Islam and to be honest, I do feel angry and the things they say, not to the extent to wishing violence upon them, but I fail to see humanity in them, how do I deal with these kinds of people who paint us Muslims in a bad light?
