I'm an artist. I started to draw back in kindergarten and have been drawing since. And sometimes I would tell my dad that I want to go to an arts college in Wad Madani, Sudan(since Sudan is my home country).
However, my older brother almost always tells me I shouldn't even draw to begin with because according to Sunnah, it's haram because you're mimicking God's work.
If that's the actual case, then I guess I'll have to ditch all of my OCs that I've made altogether for the sake of being halal, which means permanently shattering my dreams of being a successful artist and storyteller.
And, if that's the case, then why are there several artists who are hardly questioned for drawing animate things and why are there several art schools, colleges and tutorials, etc.?
