Hi everyone. I'm not a Muslim nor am I planning to convert, so if it's not ok for me to post here please delete with no hesitation, I will understand. However I'm really fascinated by Arab culture and folklore, and I've been researching Jinn for a while. I've got some questions, but first here's what I gathered, please correct me if what I'm about to say is inaccurate:

•Muslims believe Allah made three "races", angels from light, humans from clay, Jinn from smokeless fire (what's smokeless fire btw? The flame of a candle?)

•Jinn come in many cultures and races and they've got their own jobs and families and stuff, they're not all good or all bad, they can sin and will be judged just like people when the day comes

•Iblis (Al-Shaytan) is a Jinni who was punished by Allah for not kneeling in front of His beloved creation (humans), his servants are known as Shayatin

•Jinn are invisible to us but can manifest in the form of what the west would call "ghosts", though they're generally not interested in doing that

Now here come the questions:

•Are Jinn part of a whole entire parallel universe with cities, houses, pets and such which are invisible to us as well, or do they use our houses and structures? Because I was thinking that lots of "ghosts" seem to inhabit abandoned places and it kind of makes sense for a Jinni to want to live in a house with no humans.

•Are there consequences for a Jinni that decided to manifest himself to humans? Is it forbidden for them to do so, or frowned upon?

•Are all Muslims required to believe that Jinn are real, and do you know any who don't believe it?

•Is a Shayatan just a Jinni gone evil?

•How did the figure of the Jinni become the "genie"? Is there a type of jinn that let you express wishes, or did the west just straight-up make that bit up?

•How common is it to come across a Jinni? Do Muslim people like to tell scary jinn stories at night for spook factor like people in the west do with ghosts?

I think that's all for now. Thank you for your time, looking forward to answers! And please forgive my ignorance of your culture which I find extremely fascinating (I'm considering learning Arabic as a fourth language)
