Mob violence is always wrong and Islam is foremost to condemn it. In fact, Islamic jurisprudence requires a very high bar of 4 witnesses in order for Hudood to be applied. Blaming Islam for a crime done by a mob is like blaming Justice itself for similar crimes committed in the name of Justice.
