Happy Jummah. So I was reading this post https://www.reddit.com/r/wewontcallyou/comments/j0ftc7/no_i_wont_chaperone_your_interview_and_especially/ where the OP balks at this job candidate who asks for a chaperone for the next job interview when his interviewer is female. OP seems oversensitive at best and didn't handle the situation well but that's an aside.
So obviously I know that in Islam unmarried non-family men and women aren't supposed to be alone at all, but since this is in public, is there a lot of scandal in just having a job interview with somebody of the opposite sex for 15 minutes? As a Muslim would you ask for a religious accommodation in this situation like holding the interview in an open space, at the risk of upsetting the interviewer like OP was upset here? It doesn't seem realistic, as a white collar worker, to be able to completely avoid jobs where you are likely to even momentarily be alone with the opposite sex in this day and age.
