Example:

Burj Khalifa - someone brings in the Hadith regarding the ends of times

Nice looking mosque - someone brings in the Hadith regarding the end of times or complains it’s “extravagant” (even though at times it not really extravagant).

Etc.

What’s wrong, what’s the limit? Why can’t someone build a tall building for their country to serve as tourism, or as an attraction, or as a landmark - such as Dubai which is literally bare desert that has nothing going for it other than oil - the least they can do is have nice looking buildings. I see people say that they should donate that money instead but why can’t it be both? Or if you have to donate all our money than with that logic, why should every Muslim do that? That $400 iPhone or Samsung? How extravagant, a $100 phone will do - you should donate the money instead of spending so much on excess!

Or when I see a nice looking mosque I see people complaining - why? Other than the “donate money instead” argument - why shouldn’t our places of worship look nice?

And other things in general, why shouldn’t our infrastructure look nice? Why can’t we have nice looking houses, roads, greenery, parks, etc?
