This post is more of an observation rather than looking down at anyone but it's interesting to see muslim professionals/elders that haven't progressed in their deen since their teen madrassa days more often than not by choice.

i understand its people chasing dunya etc etc but at some point there has to be a natural progression in that if at 30 you don't know what the nullifiers of salat are (for argument sake) does that not worry you at all?

If at 20 you become a chef do you still ask how to make lasagne when you reach 30? no, because its an absurdity so why do we treat the deen differently ?

That's why it's strange to me when i see sisters not wearing hijab in their late 20's citing weakness in their iman, ok that's perfectly reasonable but if you're now in your late 30's and you've made no progress does that excuse still apply? in that time you've also been promoted in your job 4 times.

Just thinking out loud ....
