As-salamu alaykum everyone.
A few months ago I started trading Crypto. Initially it was for investment, but quickly turned around. I started betting that something would go up and bought that.
Now I've been in part of some so called "memecoins" and "shitcoins". Lots of these are scams. "Shilling" is a term in crypto, that you pretty much promote something, even tho it might be a scam.
Now don't understand me wrong. At first I was thinking "Well, everyone takes a risk don't they? Everyone should do their own research" And I was fine with that thought. But now? Now I'm actively promoting coins to gain. And there has been lies as well.. I know its shitty and I can't forgive myself for it.
My thought is; I buy something, I own it. I sell it, whenever I want to. After "lying" to people as well unfortunately.
Is that money no longer halal for me? If the answer is no, will it cause anything bad to people, if I donate it to charity?
I know donating haraam money to charity wont count towards my good deeds in Islam, but I don't care about that, I just don't know what to do with this. I don't want to spend it because I know haraam money isn't useful for anyone.
