I am studying to be health care assistant, currently we are studying end of life care. Tomorrow I'll be doing a small presentation on Islamic end of life practices. In my research it seems common for Shahada to be preformed close to death. Is this something all Muslims do? Or is it just religious practicing Muslims? Do cultural (non religious practicing) Muslims also perform Shahada even if they may have not given it much thought earlier in life?
