I’m reading through the Quran for the first time Alhamdulillah, and I noticed something that seems like it might be a contradiction. 2:62 says that anyone of faith (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) will receive rewards on the final day, but 2:82 says that those who follow Judaism and refuse to listen to prophets and believe in Allah’s teachings (Referring to the couple of verses before it) will not be given mercy or given help on the final day. Is 2:82 referring specifically to the ancient Israelites who disobeyed him or is it referring to people who don’t believe in prophets after the Torah as a whole? Would this also include modern Christians and Jews who don’t believe in the teachings of Muhammad pbuh?

I appreciate any explanations or insights!
